Day 7

7. A picture of your most treasured item.

I don't know where my I would be without the Gospel. I love it so much. I'm not the greatest at diligently reading my scriptures, but I am trying harder. Even though I don't do it as often as I should, I know one thing. The scriptures are true. The Gospel is true. It is such a sweet thing God has given to us. Every time I read this book, my heart is filled with so much joy. How much He must love us to give us such a wonderful book! I know it speaks truths, and there are so many lessons to be learned from it. I'm so thankful for my scriptures. (:

Called to Serve!

Wednesday was a fun day for me. (: I got to go to my boy's house because his little brother just got his mission call! I got there at about 3:30 and we waited anxiously for almost two hours so he could open it. The suspense was killer haha!

But the time came to open it and here it is... (:

Everett, Washington! He leaves August 31st! I can't believe it's already time for this. We're the same age, so it's really strange. But I'm so proud of him, he's gonna do awesome! Way to go, Brad!! (:

Days 5 & 6

So, I forgot to post yesterday... whoops!

Here are days five and six of my 30 Day Challenge. (:

5. A picture of your favorite memory.

Sadly, I don't have a picture of my favorite memory with me. All my pictures of it are at my house in Wayne. So here is a substitute. (:

Disneyland. This may sounds kinda cheesy, but there is a fun story behind this one. I was about nine years old and it was Christmas. My Grandparents brought our present over the night before to put under the Christmas tree. Like little kids do, we tried to shake it and guess what it was when nobody was looking. But all we could hear was a few small things rattling around inside the box. Needless to say, we were kinda getting skeptical of this present. Finally, Christmas morning came. None of us were really anxious to break into that gift, so we saved it for last. We tore into it and found three small prescription bottles. We were very confused. I broke the first one open, and proceeded to break the others open, the first two with messages written on a small piece of paper. I can't remember the exact wording, but the two messages said something to the effect of:

"Davis children!"
"Get ready for an adventure..."
"We're going to..."
"DISNEYLAND!!!"
I can remember squealing with excitement and my brothers cheering. It was a fun moment! We left the day after Christmas and spent a week at Disneyland. (: It's been my favorite place ever since.

6. A picture of the person you'd love to trade places with for a day.

This is a hard question. I love my life and I love being me. (: But if I could think of someone I would like to trade places with for a day, it would be this woman.

I don't know who she is. I don't even know her name. But lately, I've been extremely aware of how good I have it. Yet I still take it for granted. I don't know this woman's situation, but I do know that I need to be more grateful for what I have. I'm positive this woman works 20 times harder than I do every day. She probably has to work endlessly to make sure the needs of her family are met. I don't have any clue what that's like. But I think it would make me more thankful for what I've been given if I were to trade places with her for a day.
